Nichala has 25 years of experience working in primary and secondary education;
in both mainstream and specialist settings. She has been an Assistant Headteacher, Headteacher and led two Specialist Outreach Services.

Nichala works closely with school staff and leadership teams to understand the Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs of pupils. She also supports pupil and staff wellbeing through tailored CPD and whole school support packages.

Nichala is an Advanced Team Teach Positive Handling Tutor and leads courses in a variety of settings supporting the building of positive relationships whilst reducing risk.

CONSULTANCY

Consultation visits including observations, follow up discussion, written feedback and resource support as required.

Behaviour and Relationship Policy and Practice audits.

Staff Supervision Sessions.

TEAM-TEACH

Team-Teach training promotes de-escalation strategies and supports the reduction of risk and restraint, to assist teaching, learning and the building of positive relationships.

Level 1: 6 hours Low risk settings
Level 2: 12 hours Medium risk settings
